Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great time on New Year’s Eve. We are all still trying to recover from the flu and didn’t do much yesterday. Anyway, it’s going to be a short one today so everyone can get back to their day off. I just want to thank everyone for reading Retire by 40 and making 2013 such a successful year for us. The last couple of weeks had been quite eventful.
I was on NPR’s Marketplace Money last weekend! Check out the 3 minute segment about my 2013 New Year resolutions if you haven’t heard it yet. Well, I’m not very good at articulating my thoughts, so it’s a bit flat. I’m much better in written form, but I’m still very happy to be on NPR.
Some of you may know about my blog goal for 2013. It was to surpass 100,000 pageviews per month. Well, we did it! The NPR segment and an appearance on Yahoo! Finance gave us a nice little boost at the end of December and nudged us over. We went over 100,000 pageviews on New Year’s Eve, right on the dot! I was pretty sure we’d have a slow December due to Christmas and New Year, but sometimes you just get lucky. Here is our result from December, the best month at RB40 so far.
Check out my 2014 New Year Resolutions if you haven’t seen it. I have a feeling that it will be a great year.
Thanks again and have a great New Year!
