Amazon Gift Card February Giveaway

Hello Everyone!

In an effort to ramp up our social media exposure, we’ll run a giveaway every month for the rest of 2012.

Here are some of our social media goals this year. Do you think we can do it?

Social Media Goals

      1. Increase Twitter followers to 5,000 (now around 1,000)
      2. Increase Facebook likes to 1,000 (now around 250)
      3. Increase Feedburner counts to 1,000 (now around 550)
      4. Increase Klout score to 55 (now around 45)
      5. Increase Google +1 to 500 (now around 90)

Some of these goals are quite ambitious and that’s why I’m running the giveaway. I’m not above buying votes.

Let me share a vote buying story from Chiang Mai, my hometown.

Whenever there is an election in Thailand, my aunt gets 1,000 baht ($33) per voter in her household. The campaign “volunteers” come to her house and pay her in cash. In Thailand, you have to be registered to a home address and that’s how they keep track of voters. My family is registered at my aunt’s house so she gets 5 extra payments, nice. Sometime she received payments from multiple sides and then I don’t know how she voted. The volunteers won’t know who she voted so it’s just an extra incentive for voters. That’s how a billionaire wins elections in Thailand.

The campaigns only give these donations to rural people and blue collar workers. They don’t do this in Bangkok because educated folks are not going to be influenced by the payment.

Anyway, I can’t pay you $33 each, but you will have a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card (or PayPal) if you enter below. Good luck and Thanks for being a great reader!

Also have a great Super Bowl Sunday! We don’t have any big plan. I’ll just go to the grocery store Saturday morning and pick up some wings and beers. Simple pleasures for a simple man. :)

Great goals. I have already done everything except the email. You can easily achieve the goals you have set.

I should start doing giveaways too. $25 is a good one, not too small, but won’t break the bank either. May be after April…
