Sad news today, Amy Winehouse was found dead at her north London home at the age of 27. She has tons of talent and made great music. Rest in peace Amy. Above is one of my favorite song by her. I was hoping she could turn things around, but she wasn’t able to do it.

On the home front, we all got sick this week from a cold baby RB40 brought home from his first week of daycare. My coworkers said it’ll be like this for a few weeks until he build up immunity. :( We are all recovering now, but I really hate for the little guy to get sick again.

Here is a shout out to the Yakezie Summer team. Thanks for visiting and commenting everyone. We really appreciate it.

Julie @ The Family CEO also just came back from vacation and shared Inspirational Quotes about Money. I really like Thoreau’s quotes.

Dining Out ChallengeGet Up to $20 off from Macaroni Grill. We’ve been to Macaroni Grill once and the food was pretty good. I pigged out though so I didn’t feel too well afterward. :D

Suba @ Broke Professionals showed the range of entertainment options available at a library near you. We love the library and stop by every week. It’s a great way to pick up books, DVD, music and many more things.

Money Is The RootVariable vs Fixed Costs. Everyone should understand this concept and incorporate it into your daily life.

Have a great rest of the weekend. It’s beautiful here in the Pacific Northwest, but we are just hiding out at home to recuperate from this mid July cold virus. Hopefully the good weather will stick around next week.

It seemed like her premature death was inevitable?

Thanks for the mention!

It’s not a big surprise, but it wasn’t inevitable. I’m an optimist and think anyone can change. :)

It’s sad to see Amy go, but given the chaos she lived through the past few years, she is probably in a better place.

Amy was a tremendous talent. Too bad for her death. Some cannot overcome their demons! Wealth and fame may not be the be all, end all.

She is an amazing talent. I guess all the wealth and fame was too much for her.

I really liked her music, especially “Rehab” unfortunately she joined the club of talented performers who died at 27 from using drugs.

So sad. Never heard that song before, but it’s pretty groovy. Sounds like from another time. Money and fame can’t buy happiness… Thanks for sharing. RIP Amy.

I wasn’t aware that Amy Winehouse had a big following over the pond. Her death’s definitely shaken up a lot of people over here. Very tragic indeed.

I am not surprised Amy was going to lose it. She was wrapped up into drugs far too much, but I did think she would last longer than 27.

She had a great, distinctive voice. One that isn’t easy to forget….that is for sure.

Rest in peace.

I didn’t even have a clue she died, how sad. She had a very unique voice but I only heard a few of her songs.

I hate that babies can get sick, it’s just heart-breaking. Hope your little one is starting to feel a little better.
