I am exhausted! nom nom nom...
Do you ever feel overwhelmed? I am pooped out these days. I’m back at work full time after my 3 months stint of being a stay at home dad. The combination of the full time job, blogging, and waking up at 4am to calm the baby have exhausted me. I hear the baby situation will get better at the 6 months mark though. We’ll just have to hang on and do our best, like every new parent, I imagine. Someday we’ll get 8 hours of sleep again…zzzzzz…
Here is Young & Thrifty’s rant – I can’t do it all! She also doesn’t have enough hours in the day. Her boyfriend really needs to man up and pitch in. “I definitely feel like I’m drowning in the day to day grind.”
Now some good news

Busy, busy, busy…. I can relate. Some long-term projects are getting longer and longer termed.
Baby RB40 looks good and fat. Babies are so cool.
Thanks for the mention.
Thanks for the mention! The funniest thing? Once I gave my 2 week’s notice, fellow bloggers started contacting me about projects to fill in my free time. I’m already making more than I did! Woot!
I’m actually off right now to finish off my last few hours of the day job! Woot!
I have been meaning to contact you too. I’ll send you PM today. Great job!
oh that’s nice! best part is you can work overtime on the things you love.
I’m also ready for a big time snoozefest this weekend and I don’t even have an infant at home. More power to you for juggling everything!
Is that your boy in the pic?!?! Either way, love it!!
Yes!
He is getting chubby.
Love Chubby babies!
Thanks for the mention. I appreciate it. At our house, it got better pretty quickly. The kids got to sleeping about 6 hours straight within a month. Since I only sleep 4-6 hours a night (6 is a great night), it wasn’t that bad. Slept 4.5 hours last night and am driving to Memphis today then on to Dallas.
4-6 hours a night is not good for your health. I definitely need 7-8 hours per night. I’m still amaze that you can handle 6 kids.
Many thanks for the mention. Did you try ordering something free yet from the list?
I tried Target, but they were all out. I’ll try others this weekend if I have time.
Thanks for the inclusion!
5-6 hours lately for me but I definitely do better on 7-8!
Cute kid! But I heard that parents barely see 8 hours of sleep. Pat Flynn mentioned that he gets about 4 hours a night.
There is no way I can function long term on 4 hours/night. We did it for the first few months and thankfully it’s getting better and better.
Your baby boy is so cute!! It looks like he’s getting some ZZZzzz’s!
(unlike us haha)
One of the most memorable comments I received as a new mom was; “I felt it was an accomplichment if I actually showered and made it to the post office!” A new baby is lots of work, but enjoy, it’s over before you know it.
Thanks for the mention. Your boy is freaking adorable (insert standard he must look like the mom, joke here)
My kid has the same sans wrist look going on too hahah
Haha, I guess you get the same he must look like the mom jokes too. You boy is super cute too. He looks way older than 6 months. Time just flew by didn’t it?
Great pic! Very cute son!
Thanks! He’s sick today…
Hang in there! It does get easier, you’ll have your 8 hours of sleep back in a few months.
As amazing as it is, the first 12 months of parenthood are exhausting. I really don’t know how people can have 4 or more kids. I just can’t imagine it.
Thanks for the mention. You’re doing great!
Do you know Cash Flow Mantra? He has 6 kids. That’s crazy.
His house would be a great place to grow up in though.
